The short
version.
An independent product lab. We originate, design, build and operate software products — across AI, healthcare, climate and everyday life. Not a consulting shop. Not a holding with slides. A studio that ships and runs what it builds.
Agencies sell hours. Classic venture studios often take equity to launch someone else’s company. FokaLabs builds products we believe should exist, stays close enough to operate them, and keeps a coherent craft across domains. Ownership and accountability stay inside the loop.
Most of the portfolio is originated in-house. When we partner externally, it is selective, product-shaped work — not slide decks or staff augmentation. The bar is the same: useful software that can be operated.
Sometimes. We are small on purpose. If there is a sharp product thesis, a real operator, and a reason we are the right layer — use the contact form. Fit matters more than volume.
Yes, when the tool is useful beyond a single product. Parts of the stack — like notifyd and other infrastructure — live in the open. Product companies stay product companies.
